The detainee may be afforded the opportunity to participate in the work available within the institution.
The director shall ensure the availability of work for the detainees, insofar as the nature or the duration of the detention does not preclude this.
Working hours shall be determined in the house rules within the limits of what is customary outside the institution.
Our Minister shall lay down rules regarding the application of the second paragraph and regarding the composition and the amount of the wages. The director is charged with the determination and payment of the wages.
De gedetineerde kan in de gelegenheid worden gesteld deel te nemen aan de in de inrichting beschikbare arbeid.
De directeur draagt zorg voor de beschikbaarheid van arbeid voor de gedetineerden, voor zover de aard of de duur van de detentie zich daar niet tegen verzet.
De arbeidstijd wordt in de huisregels vastgesteld binnen de grenzen van hetgeen buiten de inrichting gebruikelijk is.
Onze Minister stelt regels omtrent de toepassing van het tweede lid en omtrent de samenstelling en de hoogte van het arbeidsloon. De directeur is belast met de vaststelling en uitbetaling van het arbeidsloon.
