Recommendations on adult guardianship and property administration (aanbevelingen)
ReferenceThe aanbevelingen are guidance documents of the Dutch judiciary on adult guardianship (curatele), property administration (bewind) and mentorship (mentorschap): appointment and remuneration of administrators, reporting duties and typical scenarios.
They are not legislation, but guardianship courts apply them daily, which makes them as important in practice as Titles 16, 19 and 20 of Book 1 of the Civil Code in our catalogue.
The current versions are published by the judiciary on the official page linked below. We do not duplicate the text: the documents are revised regularly.
