The healthcare provider shall destroy the data in the records following a written or electronic petition to that effect from the patient.
Paragraph 1 shall not apply insofar as the petition concerns data for which it is reasonably plausible that the retention thereof is of substantial interest to a person other than the patient, as well as insofar as the provisions by or pursuant to the law oppose destruction.
De hulpverlener vernietigt de gegevens uit het dossier na een daartoe strekkend schriftelijk of elektronisch verzoek van de patiënt.
Lid 1 geldt niet voor zover het verzoek gegevens betreft waarvan redelijkerwijs aannemelijk is dat de bewaring van aanmerkelijk belang is voor een ander dan de patiënt, alsmede voor zover het bepaalde bij of krachtens de wet zich tegen vernietiging verzet.
