The juvenile has the right to care by a physician attached to the institution or their substitute.
The juvenile has the right to consult, at his own expense, a physician of his choice. The director shall, in consultation with the chosen physician, determine the place and time of the consultation.
The director shall ensure that a physician attached to the institution or their substitute:
is regularly available for holding consultation hours;
is available at other times, if this is necessary in the interest of the health of the minor;
examines the juveniles who are eligible for this purpose as to their suitability for participation in sports or another activity.
The director shall ensure:
the provision of medicines and diets prescribed by the physician attached to the institution or their substitute;
the treatment of the juvenile upon the instruction of the physician attached to the institution or their substitute;
the transfer of the juvenile to a hospital or another institution, if the treatment referred to under (b) takes place there.
De jeugdige heeft recht op verzorging door een aan de inrichting verbonden arts of diens vervanger.
De jeugdige heeft recht op raadpleging, voor eigen rekening, van een arts van zijn keuze. De directeur stelt in overleg met de gekozen arts de plaats en het tijdstip van de raadpleging vast.
De directeur draagt zorg dat een aan de inrichting verbonden arts of diens vervanger:
regelmatig beschikbaar is voor het houden van een spreekuur;
op andere tijdstippen beschikbaar is, indien dit in het belang van de gezondheid van de jeugdige noodzakelijk is;
de jeugdigen die hiervoor in aanmerking komen onderzoekt op hun geschiktheid voor deelname aan sport of een andere activiteit.
De directeur draagt zorg voor:
de verstrekking van de door de aan de inrichting verbonden arts of diens vervanger voorgeschreven medicijnen en diëten;
de behandeling van de jeugdige op aanwijzing van de aan de inrichting verbonden arts of diens vervanger;
de overbrenging van de jeugdige naar een ziekenhuis dan wel een andere instelling, indien de onder b bedoelde behandeling aldaar plaatsvindt.
