The Netherlands Bar Association
The Netherlands Bar Association (De Nederlandse Orde van Advocaten (NOvA)) functions as the legally recognized professional association for lawyers. This organization strives to improve the quality of legal services, and this in the context of efficient administration of justice. In addition, the NOvA supervises the professional practice of lawyers in order to guarantee the quality of their services.
In the Netherlands, all practicing attorneys are collective members of the NOvA. For legal purposes, the Netherlands is divided into 11 different regions, which correspond to the jurisdictions of the courts. In each region, the lawyers who practice there form a local Bar Association. Hodak is naturally a member of both the regional and national Bar Associations.
