1.

Upon the request of the victim, the public prosecutor shall grant permission to inspect the case documents that are of importance to the victim. During the investigation at the court hearing, this permission shall be granted by the court of first instance or appeal (gerecht in feitelijke aanleg) before which the case is being prosecuted, and otherwise by the public prosecutor.

2.

The victim may request the public prosecutor to add to the case file documents which he deems relevant for the assessment of the case against the suspect or of his claim against the suspect.

3.

The public prosecutor may refuse the addition of documents or the inspection thereof if he is of the opinion that the documents cannot be qualified as procedural documents or if he deems this incompatible with one of the interests stated in Article 187d, paragraph 1.

4.

For the application of the third paragraph, the public prosecutor requires written authorisation, to be granted by the examining magistrate upon the prosecutor's motion. The public prosecutor shall notify the victim of his decision in writing.

5.

The manner in which the inspection of the procedural documents is effected may be regulated by Order in Council.

6.

The victim may obtain a copy of the documents of which they are permitted to take cognizance at the registry, in accordance with the provisions laid down by or pursuant to Article 17 of the Act on Court Fees in Criminal Cases (Wet tarieven in strafzaken). Article 32, paragraphs two up to and including four, shall apply mutatis mutandis.

1.
