The instrument in which any of the particulars indicated in the preceding article is missing, is not valid as a cheque, except in the cases mentioned below.
In the absence of a special indication, the place indicated next to the name of the drawee is deemed to be the place of payment. If several places are indicated next to the name of the drawee, the cheque is payable at the first place indicated.
In the absence of those indications or of any other indication, the cheque is payable at the place where the head office of the drawee is established.
The cheque, which does not indicate the place where it is drawn, is deemed to have been signed in the place indicated next to the name of the drawer.
De titel, waarin ééne der vermeldingen, in het voorgaande artikel aangegeven, ontbreekt, geldt niet als chèque, behoudens in de hieronder genoemde gevallen.
Bij gebreke van een bijzondere aanwijzing, wordt de plaats, aangegeven naast den naam van den betrokkene, geacht te zijn de plaats van betaling. Indien meerdere plaatsen zijn aangegeven naast den naam van den betrokkene, is de chèque betaalbaar op de eerstaangegeven plaats.
Bij gebreke van die aanwijzingen of van iedere andere aanwijzing, is de chèque betaalbaar in de plaats, waar het hoofdkantoor van den betrokkene is gevestigd.
De chèque, welke niet de plaats aanwijst, waar zij is getrokken, wordt geacht te zijn onderteekend in de plaats, aangegeven naast den naam des trekkers.
