The judicial officers charged with the administration of justice, the judges in training and the public prosecutors in training, the senior judicial research officers and judicial research officers, the registrar, deputy registrar and acting registrars of the Supreme Court, court officials and extraordinary registrars, as referred to in Article 14, paragraph 4, are obliged to maintain the confidentiality of the data of which they acquire knowledge in the exercise of their office and of which they know or should reasonably suspect the confidential nature, except insofar as any statutory provision obliges them to disclose such data or the necessity for disclosure arises from their office.
De rechterlijke ambtenaren met rechtspraak belast, de rechters in opleiding en de officieren in opleiding, de senior-gerechtsauditeurs en gerechtsauditeurs, de griffier, substituut-griffier en waarnemend griffiers van de Hoge Raad, gerechtsambtenaren en buitengriffiers, bedoeld in artikel 14, vierde lid, zijn verplicht tot geheimhouding van de gegevens waarover zij bij de uitoefening van hun ambt de beschikking krijgen en waarvan zij het vertrouwelijke karakter kennen of redelijkerwijs moeten vermoeden, behoudens voorzover enig wettelijk voorschrift hen tot mededeling verplicht of uit hun ambt de noodzaak tot mededeling voortvloeit.
