The Organization is tasked with:
the implementation of this treaty and the implementing regulations;
the promotion of the protection of trademarks and designs or models in the Benelux countries;
the performance of additional tasks in other areas of intellectual property law, which the Board of Directors designates;
continuous evaluation and, if necessary, adaptation of Benelux law regarding trademarks and designs or models, in light of, inter alia, international and Community developments.
De Organisatie heeft tot taak:
de uitvoering van dit verdrag en het uitvoeringsreglement;
de bevordering van de bescherming van merken en tekeningen of modellen in de Benelux-landen;
de uitvoering van aanvullende taken op andere gebieden van het recht inzake de intellectuele eigendom, welke de Raad van Bestuur aanwijst;
voortdurende evaluatie en, indien nodig, aanpassing van het Benelux-recht inzake merken en tekeningen of modellen, in het licht onder meer van de internationale en communautaire ontwikkelingen.
