The director may, if this is necessary for the protection of the mental or physical condition of the juvenile, determine that the juvenile who is staying in a solitary confinement cell shall be observed by means of a camera day and night.
Before deciding on this matter, he shall obtain the advice of a behavioural expert or the institution's medical officer, respectively, unless such advice cannot be awaited. In that case, the director shall obtain the advice as soon as possible after his decision.
De directeur kan, indien dit ter bescherming van de geestelijke of lichamelijke toestand van de jeugdige noodzakelijk is, bepalen dat de jeugdige die in een afzonderingscel verblijft, dag en nacht door middel van een camera wordt geobserveerd.
Alvorens hij hiertoe beslist, wint hij het advies in van een gedragsdeskundige onderscheidenlijk de inrichtingsarts, tenzij dit advies niet kan worden afgewacht. In dat geval wint de directeur het advies zo spoedig mogelijk na zijn beslissing in.
