The Social Insurance Bank (Sociale verzekeringsbank) shall pay the old-age pension to which there is an entitlement pursuant to this Act. As a rule, payment shall be effected monthly.
The Social Insurance Bank may make the supplement granted to a married pensioner payable to the spouse.
If the old-age pension is paid abroad, payment shall, by way of derogation from Article 4:89, paragraph 3, of the General Administrative Law Act, take place at the time at which the account of the bank designated for this purpose by the creditor is credited.
Where a pensioner authorises another person to receive the old-age pension, or revokes a granted authorisation, respectively, this shall be given effect as of a payment period commencing after the day on which the authorisation is submitted, or on which notice of its revocation is given, respectively, but no later than the first day of the second month following the day of submission or revocation of the authorisation.
The Social Insurance Bank (Sociale verzekeringsbank) shall suspend the payment of the old-age pension or shall suspend the payment if, on the basis of clear indications, it is of the opinion or has reasonable grounds to suspect that:
the right to an old-age pension does not exist or no longer exists;
a right to a lower old-age pension exists; or
the pension beneficiary, his spouse, or his legal representative, or the institution to which an old-age pension is paid pursuant to Article 20, has failed to comply with an obligation as referred to in Article 15, paragraph 2, Article 49, or Article 50.
The Social Insurance Bank shall notify the person or institution concerned of the decision referred to in the fifth paragraph in writing without delay.
De Sociale verzekeringsbank betaalt het ouderdomspensioen waarop op grond van deze wet recht bestaat. De betaling geschiedt als regel maandelijks.
De Sociale verzekeringsbank kan de aan een gehuwde pensioengerechtigde toegekende toeslag betaalbaar stellen aan de echtgenoot.
Indien het ouderdomspensioen in het buitenland wordt uitbetaald, geschiedt de betaling in afwijking van artikel 4:89, derde lid, van de Algemene wet bestuursrecht op het tijdstip waarop de rekening van de daartoe door de schuldeiser aangewezen bank wordt gecrediteerd.
Wanneer een pensioengerechtigde een ander machtigt om het ouderdomspensioen in ontvangst te nemen, onderscheidenlijk een verleende machtiging intrekt, wordt daaraan gevolg gegeven met ingang van een betalingstermijn, aanvangende na de dag, waarop de machtiging wordt ingediend, onderscheidenlijk waarop van haar intrekking mededeling wordt gedaan, doch niet later dan de eerste dag van de tweede maand na de dag van indiening, onderscheidenlijk intrekking der machtiging.
De Sociale verzekeringsbank schort de betaling van het ouderdomspensioen op of schorst de betaling indien zij op grond van duidelijke aanwijzingen van oordeel is of het gegronde vermoeden heeft, dat:
het recht op ouderdomspensioen niet of niet meer bestaat;
recht op een lager ouderdomspensioen bestaat; of
de pensioengerechtigde, zijn echtgenoot dan wel zijn wettelijke vertegenwoordiger of de instelling waaraan op grond van artikel 20 ouderdomspensioen wordt uitbetaald, een verplichting als bedoeld in artikel 15, tweede lid, artikel 49 of artikel 50 niet is nagekomen.
De Sociale verzekeringsbank stelt de betrokken persoon of instelling onverwijld schriftelijk in kennis van de beslissing, bedoeld in het vijfde lid.
