Article 2:21

The convicted person whose detention has been ordered shall be released:
if the judicial decision and the certificate have not been received by Our Minister within fourteen days after the day of the arrest.
as soon as this is ordered by the examining magistrate or the public prosecutor.
The custody terminates by operation of law at the moment that the execution of the court decision commences.
De veroordeelde wiens bewaring is bevolen, wordt in vrijheid gesteld:
indien niet binnen veertien dagen na de dag van de aanhouding de rechterlijke uitspraak en het certificaat door Onze Minister zijn ontvangen.
zodra zulks door de rechter-commissaris of de officier van justitie wordt gelast.
De bewaring eindigt van rechtswege op het moment dat de tenuitvoerlegging van de rechterlijke uitspraak een aanvang neemt.
