If the cheque contains signatures of persons who are incapable of binding themselves by means of a cheque, forged signatures or signatures of fictitious persons, or signatures which, for whatever other reason, cannot bind the persons who have placed those signatures or in whose name this has been done, the obligations of the other persons whose signatures appear on the cheque are nevertheless valid.
Indien de chèque handteekeningen bevat van personen, die onbekwaam zijn zich door middel van een chèque te verbinden, valsche handteekeningen of handteekeningen van verdichte personen, of handteekeningen, welke, onverschillig om welke andere reden, de personen, die die handteekeningen hebben geplaatst of in wier naam zulks is geschied, niet kunnen verbinden, zijn de verbintenissen der andere personen, wier handteekeningen op de chèque voorkomen, desniettemin geldig.
