In the interest of the investigation, investigative officers are authorised to seize objects liable to seizure insofar as this is reasonably necessary for the performance of their duties. To this end, they may demand the surrender thereof.
However, for the seizure of objects for the purpose of forfeiture pursuant to Article 7, under (e), they require the authorisation of the public prosecutor.
De opsporingsambtenaren zijn in het belang van de opsporing bevoegd tot inbeslagneming van daarvoor vatbare voorwerpen voor zover dat redelijkerwijs voor de vervulling van hun taak nodig is. Zij kunnen daartoe hun uitlevering vorderen.
Voor inbeslagneming van voorwerpen ter verbeurdverklaring uit hoofde van artikel 7, onder e, behoeven zij evenwel de machtiging van de officier van justitie.
