1).

A period of grace, which shall be at least six months, shall be allowed for the payment of the fees prescribed for the maintenance of industrial property rights, subject to the payment of a surcharge, if the national legislation so provides.

2).

The countries of the Union have the right to provide for the restoration of patents for inventions which have lapsed by reason of the non-payment of fees.

Een termijn van uitstel, die tenminste zes maanden zal moeten zijn, zal worden toegestaan voor de voldoening van de taksen, bepaald voor het behoud van de rechten van industriële eigendom, met betaling van een verhoogde taks, indien de nationale wetgeving deze oplegt.

2).

De landen der Unie hebben de bevoegdheid het herstel te regelen van octrooien van uitvinding, die wegens niet-betaling der taksen vervallen zijn.
