The board may, insofar as this is reasonably necessary for the performance of the tasks of the Rent Tribunal (huurcommissie) as referred to in Articles 4, paragraphs two up to and including five, 4a and 5, and the tasks of the chairperson as referred to in Article 6, paragraph one, demand from the lessor inspection of and the taking of copies of books and other business documents.
The lessor is obliged to grant the inspection of and the taking of copies from books and other business documents requested from him pursuant to the first paragraph, all this in the manner and within the time limit to be determined by the board.
Failure to comply with the obligation described in the second paragraph shall be punishable by a fine of the second category. The criminal offence is a summary offence (overtreding).
Het bestuur kan, voor zover dat redelijkerwijs voor de uitoefening van de taken van de huurcommissie, bedoeld in de artikelen 4, tweede tot en met vijfde lid, 4a en 5, en de taken van de voorzitter, bedoeld in artikel 6, eerste lid, nodig is, van de verhuurder inzage en het nemen van afschrift vorderen van boeken en andere zakelijke bescheiden.
De verhuurder is verplicht van hem krachtens het eerste lid gevorderde inzage en nemen van afschrift van boeken en andere zakelijke bescheiden te verlenen, een en ander op de wijze en binnen de termijn, door het bestuur te bepalen.
Het niet voldoen aan de in het tweede lid omschreven verplichting wordt gestraft met een geldboete van de tweede categorie. Het strafbare feit is een overtreding.
