Pedestrians shall use the pavement or the footpath.
They shall use the cycle path or the cycle/moped path if a sidewalk and footway are absent.
They shall use the verge or the extreme side of the carriageway if a cycle path or a cycle/moped path is also absent.
By way of derogation from the first and second paragraphs, persons moving with the aid of objects, other than vehicles, shall use the cycle path, the cycle/moped path, the pavement or the footpath. They shall use the carriageway if a cycle path, a cycle/moped path, a pavement or a footpath is absent.
Voetgangers gebruiken het trottoir of het voetpad.
Zij gebruiken het fietspad of het fiets/bromfietspad indien trottoir en voetpad ontbreken.
Zij gebruiken de berm of de uiterste zijde van de rijbaan, indien ook een fietspad of een fiets/bromfietspad ontbreekt.
In afwijking van het eerste en het tweede lid gebruiken personen die zich verplaatsen met behulp van voorwerpen, niet zijnde voertuigen, het fietspad, het fiets/bromfietspad, het trottoir of het voetpad. Zij gebruiken de rijbaan indien een fietspad, een fiets/bromfietspad, een trottoir of een voetpad ontbreekt.
