During the stay of a patient in an institution, the patient's file shall be kept in a lockable space within the institution.
The head of the institution shall send the nursing file simultaneously with the transfer of the patient, as referred to in Article 11, paragraph 3, of the Act, to the head of the institution where the patient will continue to be nursed. In the event of a transfer to and from a private institution, other than a private judicial institution, the nursing file or the file, as referred to in the Decree on Patient Files Bopz (Besluit patiëntendossier Bopz), shall be sent simultaneously with the formal transfer.
Gedurende het verblijf van een verpleegde in een inrichting wordt het verpleegdedossier in een afsluitbare ruimte in de inrichting bewaard.
Het hoofd van de inrichting zendt het verpleegdedossier gelijktijdig met de overplaatsing van de verpleegde, bedoeld in artikel 11, derde lid, van de wet, aan het hoofd van de inrichting waar de verpleegde verder zal worden verpleegd. Bij overplaatsing van en naar een particuliere inrichting, niet zijnde een justitiële particuliere inrichting, wordt het verpleegdedossier onderscheidenlijk het dossier, bedoeld in het Besluit patiëntendossier Bopz, gelijktijdig met de formele overplaatsing meegezonden.
