Police officers within the meaning of this Act are:
officials appointed for the execution of police duties;
civil servants who have been appointed for the performance of technical, administrative and other duties in the service of the police;
voluntary officials who have been appointed for the performance of police duties, or respectively for the performance of technical, administrative and other tasks in the service of the police;
officials of the National Investigation Service (rijksrecherche) who have been appointed for the performance of police duties, or for the performance of technical, administrative and other duties in the service of the National Investigation Service, respectively.
Ambtenaren van politie in de zin van deze wet zijn:
ambtenaren die zijn aangesteld voor de uitvoering van de politietaak;
ambtenaren die zijn aangesteld voor de uitvoering van technische, administratieve en andere taken ten dienste van de politie;
vrijwillige ambtenaren die zijn aangesteld voor de uitvoering van de politietaak, onderscheidenlijk voor de uitvoering van technische, administratieve en andere taken ten dienste van de politie;
ambtenaren van de rijksrecherche die zijn aangesteld voor de uitvoering van de politietaak, onderscheidenlijk voor de uitvoering van technische, administratieve en andere taken ten dienste van de rijksrecherche.
