in force(Involuntary) medical treatment
Before the director takes the decision to extend compulsory treatment, he shall, in any event, consult with the psychiatrist responsible for the treatment and with the head of the department where the detainee is staying.
In the consultation referred to in the first paragraph, it shall be examined whether the intended effect can still be expected from the continuation of the proceedings.
The outcomes of the multidisciplinary consultation, as referred to in Article 21a, paragraph 4, shall be taken into account in the decision.
Voordat de directeur de beslissing tot verlenging van a-dwangbehandeling neemt, pleegt hij in ieder geval overleg met de voor de behandeling verantwoordelijke psychiater en met het hoofd van de afdeling waar de gedetineerde verblijft.
In het in het eerste lid bedoelde overleg wordt nagegaan of van de voortzetting van de behandeling alsnog het beoogde effect kan worden verwacht.
De uitkomsten van het multidisciplinaire overleg, bedoeld in artikel 21a, vierde lid, worden bij de beslissing meegenomen.
