If a period which, prior to the declaration of bankruptcy, had been set for the debtor pursuant to Article 55, paragraph 2, of Book 3 or Article 88 of Book 6 of the Civil Code, had not yet expired at the time of the declaration of bankruptcy, the period continues to run insofar as this is reasonably necessary to enable the trustee in bankruptcy to determine his position. The counterparty may set a new reasonable period for the trustee in bankruptcy for this purpose.
Wanneer een termijn die vóór de faillietverklaring uit hoofde van artikel 55, tweede lid, van Boek 3 of artikel 88 van Boek 6 van het Burgerlijk Wetboek aan de schuldenaar was gesteld, ten tijde van de faillietverklaring nog niet was verstreken, loopt de termijn voort voorzover dit redelijkerwijze noodzakelijk is om de curator in staat te stellen zijn standpunt te bepalen. De wederpartij kan de curator daartoe een nieuwe redelijke termijn stellen.
