At the request of the President of the European Patent Office, the Contracting States shall grant advances to the Organisation, on account of their payments and contributions, within the limit of the amount fixed by the Administrative Council. The amount of such advances shall be determined in proportion to the amounts due from the Contracting States for the accounting period in question.
Article 39, paragraphs 3 and 4, shall apply mutatis mutandis to the advances.
Op verzoek van de President van het Europees Octrooibureau verstrekken de Verdragsluitende Staten de Organisatie voorschotten op hun betalingen en bijdragen tot een door de Raad van Bestuur vastgesteld bedrag. Deze voorschotten worden voor de Verdragsluitende Staten bepaald in verhouding tot de bedragen die deze Verdragsluitende Staten voor het desbetreffende begrotingsjaar verschuldigd zijn.
Artikel 39, derde en vierde lid, is van overeenkomstige toepassing op de voorschotten.
