If the legal relationship between the previous and the new debtor on the basis of which the debt was assumed is void, annulled or dissolved, the creditor may cause the debt to revert to the previous debtor by means of notifications to that effect to both parties involved; each of them may set a reasonable period for the creditor to do so.
Indien de rechtsverhouding tussen de vorige en de nieuwe schuldenaar op grond waarvan de schuld is overgenomen, nietig, vernietigd of ontbonden is, kan de schuldeiser de schuld weer op de vorige schuldenaar doen overgaan door daartoe strekkende kennisgevingen aan de beide betrokken partijen; elk van hen kan de schuldeiser daartoe een redelijke termijn stellen.
