When it has been agreed with the debtor that two or more persons as creditors may claim the performance from him in its entirety, such that satisfaction to one also discharges him towards the others, but in the mutual relationship of those persons the performance does not accrue to them all jointly, the rules applicable in the case of a community (gemeenschap) shall apply mutatis mutandis to their legal relationship towards the debtor.
Wanneer met de schuldenaar is overeengekomen dat twee of meer personen als schuldeiser de prestatie van hem voor het geheel kunnen vorderen, des dat de voldoening aan de een hem ook jegens de anderen bevrijdt, doch in de onderlinge verhouding van die personen de prestatie niet aan hen allen gezamenlijk toekomt, zijn op hun rechtsverhouding jegens de schuldenaar de in geval van gemeenschap geldende regels van overeenkomstige toepassing.
