Article 5:10

Any person who claims the property from the municipality or from the finder who has complied with the requirements imposed upon him in Article 5, paragraph 1, is obliged to reimburse the costs of storage and maintenance and of tracing the owner or another person entitled to receive the property. The municipality or the finder is authorised to suspend the delivery until this obligation has been fulfilled. If the person who claims the property has not paid the costs due within one month after they have been notified to him, he shall be deemed to have waived his right to the property.
The finder who has fulfilled the obligations resting upon him is, depending on the circumstances, entitled to a reasonable reward.
Hij die de zaak opeist van de gemeente of van de vinder die aan de hem in artikel 5 lid 1 gestelde eisen heeft voldaan, is verplicht de kosten van bewaring en onderhoud en tot opsporing van de eigenaar of een andere tot ontvangst bevoegde te vergoeden. De gemeente of de vinder is bevoegd de afgifte op te schorten totdat deze verplichting is nagekomen. Indien degene die de zaak opeist, de verschuldigde kosten niet binnen een maand nadat ze hem zijn opgegeven, heeft voldaan, wordt hij geacht zijn recht op de zaak te hebben prijsgegeven.
De vinder die aan de op hem rustende verplichtingen heeft voldaan, heeft naar omstandigheden recht op een redelijke beloning.
