1.
Heirs are obliged for the benefit of their co-heirs to bring into account the value of the gifts made to them by the deceased, insofar as the deceased has so prescribed, either at the time of the gift or by a testamentary disposition.
2.
An obligation to bring into hotchpot imposed at the time of the gift may be revoked by a last will and testament.

Erfgenamen zijn verplicht ten behoeve van hun mede-erfgenamen de waarde van de hun door de erflater gedane giften in te brengen, voor zover de erflater dit, hetzij bij de gift hetzij bij uiterste wilsbeschikking, heeft voorgeschreven.
2.
Een bij de gift opgelegde verplichting tot inbreng kan bij uiterste wilsbeschikking worden ongedaan gemaakt.
