Heirs who succeed by representation must, in addition to the gifts received by themselves, each in proportion to their share of the estate, bring in the gifts which the person whose place they take would have had to bring in, had he been an heir.
Erfgenamen die bij plaatsvervulling opkomen, moeten behalve de door henzelf ontvangen giften, ieder naar de mate van zijn erfdeel de giften inbrengen, die hij wiens plaats zij innemen, had moeten inbrengen, was hij erfgenaam geweest.
