Article 4:88

To the extent that the claim of the forced heir (legitimaris) is not exigible pursuant to Article 81, paragraph 2, or a condition as referred to in Article 82, the spouse (echtgenoot) or the other life partner referred to in Article 82 is, at the petition (verzoek) of the forced heir, obliged to satisfy on his behalf the tax levied in respect of the acquisition of his claim. The claim of the forced heir shall be reduced by the amount satisfied on behalf of the forced heir pursuant to the first sentence.
Voor zover de vordering van de legitimaris ingevolge artikel 81 lid 2 of een voorwaarde als bedoeld in artikel 82 niet opeisbaar is, is de echtgenoot of de andere levensgezel, bedoeld in artikel 82, op verzoek van de legitimaris verplicht tot voldoening voor hem van de belasting, geheven ter zake van de verkrijging van zijn vordering. De vordering van de legitimaris wordt verminderd met het ingevolge de eerste zin voor de legitimaris voldane bedrag.
