If a valid juridical act is performed by virtue of the power of attorney notwithstanding the death of the principal, the heirs of the principal and the counterparty shall be bound as if the act had been performed during the lifetime of the principal.
Wordt ondanks de dood van de volmachtgever krachtens de volmacht een geldige rechtshandeling verricht, dan worden de erfgenamen van de volmachtgever en de wederpartij gebonden alsof de handeling bij het leven van de volmachtgever was verricht.
