1.

The rights accruing to the person placed at the disposal of the government or the person subject to compulsory treatment, as referred to in Chapters XII up to and including XVI, may, unless the complaints committee, the appeals committee, or the committee as referred to in Article 69, paragraph 2, is of the opinion that compelling interests of the person concerned preclude this, also be exercised by:

a.

the curator, if the person concerned has been placed under curatele (curatorship);

b.

the mentor, if a mentorship has been established for the benefit of the person concerned;

c.

the parents or the guardian, if the person concerned is a minor.

2.

The head of the institution shall ensure that the persons referred to in the first paragraph are made aware of these rights.

De in de hoofdstukken XII tot en met XVI aan de ter beschikking gestelde of de verpleegde toekomende rechten kunnen, behoudens ingeval de beklag- of beroepscommissie of commissie als bedoeld in artikel 69, tweede lid, van oordeel is dat zwaarwegende belangen van betrokkene zich daartegen verzetten, mede worden uitgeoefend door:

a.

de curator, indien betrokkene onder curatele is gesteld;

b.

de mentor, indien ten behoeve van betrokkene een mentorschap is ingesteld;

c.

de ouders of voogd, indien betrokkene minderjarig is.

2.

Het hoofd van de instelling draagt zorg dat de in het eerste lid genoemde personen op deze rechten opmerkzaam worden gemaakt.
