The insured person who wishes to make use of the voluntary insurance referred to in Article 38, paragraph 1, is obliged to submit an application for this purpose to the Social Insurance Bank no later than ten years after the day on which the compulsory insurance commenced.

Articles 36, paragraph 2, and 37, points (e) and (f), shall apply mutatis mutandis.

De verzekerde die van de vrijwillige verzekering, bedoeld in artikel 38, eerste lid, gebruik wil maken, is verplicht uiterlijk tien jaar na de dag, waarop de verplichte verzekering is ontstaan, een aanvraag daartoe in te dienen bij de Sociale verzekeringsbank.

De artikelen 36, tweede lid, en 37, onderdelen e en f, zijn van overeenkomstige toepassing.
