Prior to the examination of a threatened witness, the examining magistrate (rechter-commissaris) shall ascertain their identity and shall record in the official report that they have done so.
The witness shall be sworn in or affirmed in accordance with the provisions of Article 216.
The examining magistrate shall examine the threatened witness in such a manner that his identity remains concealed.
Voorafgaand aan het verhoor van een bedreigde getuige stelt de rechter-commissaris zich op de hoogte van diens identiteit en vermeldt in het proces-verbaal dit te hebben gedaan.
De getuige wordt overeenkomstig het bepaalde in artikel 216 beëdigd of aangemaand.
De rechter-commissaris verhoort de bedreigde getuige op een zodanige wijze dat zijn identiteit verborgen blijft.
