The person who has lost a cheque of which he was the holder, and which is due and, where necessary, protested, may, with due observance of Article 49, paragraph 3, of Book 6 of the Civil Code, exercise his rights only against the drawer.
Degene die een cheque waarvan hij houder was, en welke is vervallen en, zoveel nodig, geprotesteerd, vermist, kan met inachtneming van artikel 49, derde lid, van Boek 6 van het Burgerlijk Wetboek zijn rechten alleen tegen de trekker uitoefenen.
