Every person is obliged to provide the investigating officers, within the reasonable period set by them, with all cooperation that they may reasonably demand in the exercise of the powers vested in them pursuant to this Title.
Those who, by virtue of their office, profession or statutory provision, are bound to secrecy, may refuse to provide cooperation, insofar as this follows from their duty of confidentiality.
Investigative officers are authorised to take action by means of factual acts, at the expense of the offender, against that which is being done, kept, or omitted in violation of the obligation referred to in the first paragraph, insofar as this is reasonably necessary for the performance of their duties.
Een ieder is verplicht aan de opsporingsambtenaren binnen de door hen gestelde redelijke termijn alle medewerking te verlenen die deze redelijkerwijs kunnen vorderen bij de uitoefening van de hen krachtens deze titel toekomende bevoegdheden.
Zij die uit hoofde van ambt, beroep of wettelijk voorschrift verplicht zijn tot geheimhouding, kunnen het verlenen van medewerking weigeren, voor zover dit uit hun geheimhoudingsplicht voortvloeit.
De opsporingsambtenaren zijn bevoegd op kosten van de overtreder door feitelijk handelen op te treden tegen hetgeen in strijd met de in het eerste lid bedoelde verplichting is of wordt gedaan, gehouden of nagelaten, voor zover dat redelijkerwijs voor de vervulling van hun taak nodig is.
