It is prohibited to intentionally provide incorrect statements, furnish incorrect information, or submit incorrect supporting documents and other records for the purpose of obtaining a registration in the vehicle registration register and a registration of ownership.
Insofar as the data to be provided upon the application for registration in the vehicle registration register and the entry of the name of the holder concern or also concern data deemed necessary in respect of the levying of the tax on passenger cars and motorcycles and of the motor vehicle tax, the obligation to provide such data shall be considered an obligation imposed pursuant to tax law, and, if incorrect or incomplete data are provided in this regard – notwithstanding the provisions of this Act – the provisions of Chapter IX (Criminal provisions) of the General State Taxes Act (Algemene wet inzake rijksbelastingen) shall apply.
Het is verboden voor het verkrijgen van een inschrijving in het kentekenregister en een tenaamstelling opzettelijk onjuiste opgaven te doen, onjuiste inlichtingen te verschaffen of onjuiste bewijsstukken en andere bescheiden over te leggen.
Voor zover de bij de aanvraag van een inschrijving in het kentekenregister en tenaamstelling te verschaffen gegevens betreffen of mede betreffen gegevens die nodig worden geacht ter zake van de heffing van de belasting van personenauto’s en motorrijwielen en van de motorrijtuigenbelasting, wordt de verplichting tot het verstrekken van die gegevens beschouwd als een ingevolge de belastingwet opgelegde verplichting en zijn, indien ter zake onjuiste of onvolledige gegevens worden verstrekt – in afwijking van de bepalingen van deze wet – de bepalingen van Hoofdstuk IX (Strafrechtelijke bepalingen) van de Algemene wet inzake rijksbelastingen van toepassing.
