If a fugitive has been placed in custody in the public bodies of Bonaire, Sint Eustatius and Saba in accordance with this section, the period of custody may, for the purpose of applying the second paragraph, be extended once by three days exclusively by the public prosecutor at the district public prosecutor's office in Amsterdam. The authority referred to in Article 14, fifth paragraph, is also vested exclusively in him.
If a fugitive in the public bodies of Bonaire, Sint Eustatius and Saba has been placed in police custody in accordance with this section, he shall be transferred to the public prosecutor at the district public prosecutor's office in Amsterdam within the time limits of Article 14, paragraph 3, and the first paragraph.
The second paragraph may be left inapplicable if the fugitive has declared to the public prosecutor hearing him that he consents to his immediate surrender, the public prosecutor at the district public prosecutor's office in Amsterdam has decided that the fugitive shall be placed at the disposal of the authorities of the state from which the request for provisional arrest has originated, and the actual surrender can take place within the time limits of Article 14, third paragraph, and the first paragraph. Article 41, third and fourth paragraphs, shall apply mutatis mutandis.
Indien een voortvluchtige in de openbare lichamen Bonaire, Sint Eustatius en Saba overeenkomstig deze afdeling in verzekering is gesteld, kan met het oog op de toepassing van het tweede lid de termijn van inverzekeringstelling uitsluitend door de officier van justitie bij het arrondissementsparket te Amsterdam éénmaal met drie dagen worden verlengd. Hem komt tevens uitsluitend de bevoegdheid van artikel 14, vijfde lid, toe.
Indien een voortvluchtige in de openbare lichamen Bonaire, Sint Eustatius en Saba overeenkomstig deze afdeling in verzekering is gesteld, wordt hij binnen de termijnen van artikel 14, derde lid, en het eerste lid, overgedragen aan de officier van justitie bij het arrondissementsparket te Amsterdam.
Het tweede lid kan buiten toepassing blijven indien de voortvluchtige tegenover de officier van justitie die hem hoort, heeft verklaard in te stemmen met zijn onmiddellijke uitlevering, de officier van justitie bij het arrondissementsparket te Amsterdam heeft beslist dat de voortvluchtige ter beschikking zal worden gesteld van de autoriteiten van de staat waarvan het verzoek tot voorlopige aanhouding is uitgegaan en de feitelijke uitlevering kan plaatsvinden binnen de termijnen van artikel 14, derde lid, en het eerste lid. Artikel 41, derde en vierde lid, is van overeenkomstige toepassing.
