The court shall determine the time limits for the filing of the pleadings (conclusies).
Parties may request an extension for the filing of pleadings. The court shall grant a unanimous petition of the parties to that effect, unless this would lead to an unreasonable delay of the proceedings.
The first and second paragraphs shall apply mutatis mutandis to the time limits for performing procedural acts other than pleadings and to the possibility of obtaining an extension thereof.
When a procedural act has not been performed within the period prescribed therefor and no extension can be obtained in respect thereof, the right to perform the relevant procedural act shall lapse.
De rechter stelt de termijnen voor het nemen van de conclusies vast.
Partijen kunnen uitstel vragen voor het nemen van conclusies. De rechter volgt een daartoe strekkend, eenstemmig verzoek van partijen, tenzij dit zou leiden tot onredelijke vertraging van het geding.
Het eerste en het tweede lid zijn van overeenkomstige toepassing op de termijnen voor het verrichten van andere proceshandelingen dan conclusies en op de mogelijkheid om daarvoor uitstel te krijgen.
Wanneer een proceshandeling niet is verricht binnen de daarvoor gestelde termijn en daarvoor geen uitstel kan worden verkregen, vervalt het recht om de desbetreffende proceshandeling te verrichten.
