If the requirements laid down by or pursuant to Article 24 have not been met, the office shall notify the applicant thereof in writing within one month after the date of submission referred to in Article 29, paragraph 1, or, in the event of a division of the application, within one month after the date of submission of the divided application, stating the requirements that have not been met.
If the defects have not been remedied within three months after the dispatch of the notification referred to in the first paragraph, or if the applicant has previously communicated that they do not wish to proceed with the remedy, the office shall decide not to process the application. The office shall notify the applicant of its decision as soon as possible.
Indien niet is voldaan aan het bij en krachtens artikel 24 bepaalde, geeft het bureau daarvan binnen een maand na de in artikel 29, eerste lid, bedoelde datum van indiening of, in geval van afsplitsing van de aanvrage, binnen een maand na de datum van indiening van de afgesplitste aanvrage, schriftelijk kennis aan de aanvrager, onder opgave van de voorschriften waaraan niet is voldaan.
Indien de gebreken niet binnen drie maanden na verzending van de in het eerste lid bedoelde kennisgeving zijn hersteld of indien de aanvrager voordien heeft medegedeeld niet tot herstel te willen overgaan, besluit het bureau de aanvrage niet te behandelen. Het bureau maakt zijn beschikking zo spoedig mogelijk aan de aanvrager bekend.
