Every three years, and for the first time no later than 19 June 2014, the Commission shall report to the European Parliament and the Council on the application of this Directive in the Member States, in particular the assessment of the impact of Articles 3(4), 5 and 18, and shall propose any amendments that are necessary.
The Commission shall notably assess the relevance of the salary threshold defined in Article 5 and of the derogations provided for in that Article, taking into account, inter alia, the diversity of the economical, sectorial and geographical situations within the Member States.
De Commissie brengt om de drie jaar, en voor het eerst uiterlijk 19 juni 2014, aan het Europees Parlement en de Raad verslag uit over de toepassing van deze richtlijn in de lidstaten, waarbij hij met name ingaat op het effect van artikel 3, lid 4, en de artikelen 5 en 18 op de Europese blauwe kaart, en stelt daarbij eventuele noodzakelijke wijzigingen voor.
De Commissie beoordeelt met name de relevantie van de in artikel 5 bepaalde salarisdrempel en afwijkingen, waarbij zij onder andere rekening houdt met het uiteenlopende karakter van de economische, sectorale en geografische situatie in de lidstaten.
