Our Minister may, with regard to the policy plan referred to in Article 39, paragraph 1, issue the necessary instructions to the regional mayor, if, in the opinion of our Minister, the policy plan does not or does not sufficiently ensure that the objectives referred to in Article 20, paragraph 1, can be achieved.
The instructions referred to in the first paragraph shall be given in writing, after the regional mayor has been heard.
The regional mayor shall, insofar as necessary, bring the policy plan referred to in Article 39, paragraph 1, into accordance with the instructions, without the consent of the mayors in the area in which the regional unit performs the police task and the chief public prosecutor being required for this purpose.
Onze Minister kan ten aanzien van het beleidsplan, bedoeld in artikel 39, eerste lid, de nodige aanwijzingen geven aan de regioburgemeester, indien naar het oordeel van Onze Minister het beleidsplan niet of onvoldoende verzekert dat de doelstellingen, bedoeld in artikel 20, eerste lid, kunnen worden verwezenlijkt.
De aanwijzingen, bedoeld in het eerste lid, worden schriftelijk gegeven, gehoord de regioburgemeester.
De regioburgemeester brengt, voor zover nodig, het beleidsplan, bedoeld in artikel 39, eerste lid, in overeenstemming met de aanwijzingen, zonder dat hiervoor de instemming van de burgemeesters in het gebied waarin de regionale eenheid de politietaak uitvoert en de hoofdofficier van justitie noodzakelijk is.
