A police officer is authorised to perform their duties throughout the entire country.
Although having jurisdiction throughout the entire country, a police officer employed at a regional unit shall refrain from acting outside their area of employment, unless their action is reasonably necessary, or pursuant to rules laid down by or by virtue of the law, or upon the instruction or with the consent of the competent authority over the police.
De ambtenaar van politie is bevoegd zijn taak uit te oefenen in het gehele land.
Hoewel bevoegd in het gehele land, onthoudt de ambtenaar van politie die is tewerkgesteld bij een regionale eenheid, zich van optreden buiten zijn gebied van tewerkstelling, tenzij zijn optreden redelijkerwijs noodzakelijk is, dan wel ingevolge regels, gesteld bij of krachtens de wet, dan wel in opdracht of met toestemming van het bevoegd gezag over de politie.
