The issuing judicial authority may decide to have the requested person entered as a person wanted for arrest in the Schengen Information System, in accordance with Article 95 of the Schengen Convention.

2.

With a view to the location and arrest in a Member State of the European Union that does not have access to the Schengen Information System, the issuing judicial authority may also decide to issue an alert for the requested person via Interpol.

3.

A notification, as referred to in the first and second paragraphs, must, immediately after the requested person has been located, be followed by the transmission of the European arrest warrant to the authority referred to in Article 3.

4.

A signal, as referred to in the first paragraph, shall be equated with a European arrest warrant for the purposes of this Act, provided that it contains all the data referred to in Article 2, second paragraph.

De uitvaardigende justitiële autoriteit kan besluiten de opgeëiste persoon te doen signaleren in het Schengen-informatiesysteem, overeenkomstig artikel 95 van de Uitvoeringsovereenkomst van Schengen.

Met het oog op de opsporing en aanhouding in een lidstaat van de Europese Unie die geen toegang heeft tot het Schengen-informatie systeem kan de uitvaardigende justitiële autoriteit eveneens besluiten de opgeëiste persoon te signaleren via Interpol.

3.

Een signalering, bedoeld in het eerste en tweede lid, dient onmiddellijk nadat de opgeëiste persoon is aangetroffen, te worden gevolgd door toezending van het Europees aanhoudingsbevel aan de in artikel 3 bedoelde autoriteit.

4.

Een signalering, bedoeld in het eerste lid, wordt voor de toepassing van deze wet gelijkgesteld met een Europees aanhoudingsbevel, mits daarin alle gegevens, bedoeld in artikel 2, tweede lid, zijn opgenomen.
