To prevent the overlapping of environmental impact reports:
The competent authority shall align the environmental impact report, including its level of detail, with:
the level of detail of the plan or programme,
the stage of the decision-making process in which the plan or programme is situated,
if the plan or programme is part of a hierarchy of plans or programmes, in particular with regard to the position that the plan or programme occupies in that hierarchy,
may the competent authority make use of:
other environmental impact reports, provided that they satisfy the requirements laid down by or pursuant to this section,
relevant information regarding the environmental effects of the plan or programme which has been obtained pursuant to regulations, directives and decisions as referred to in Article 288 of the Treaty on the Functioning of the European Union.
Om overlapping van milieueffectrapporten te voorkomen:
stemt het bevoegd gezag het milieueffectrapport, waaronder het detailniveau daarvan, af op:
de mate van gedetailleerdheid van het plan of programma,
de fase van het besluitvormingsproces waarin het plan of programma zich bevindt,
als het plan of programma deel uitmaakt van een rangorde van plannen of programma’s, in het bijzonder op de plaats die het plan of programma inneemt in die rangorde,
kan het bevoegd gezag gebruikmaken van:
andere milieueffectrapporten als die voldoen aan de bij of krachtens deze paragraaf gestelde eisen,
relevante informatie over de milieueffecten van het plan of programma die op grond van verordeningen, richtlijnen en besluiten als bedoeld in artikel 288 van het Verdrag betreffende de werking van de Europese Unie is verkregen.
