The supervisory board of the RPO supervises the policy of the board of the RPO, the general course of affairs at the RPO, and the execution of the public media mandate at the regional level, and assists the board of the RPO with advice.
The supervisory board of the RPO is furthermore charged with:
the adoption of the annual accounts of the RPO; and
amending the articles of association of the RPO, upon a proposal by the board of the RPO.
In the performance of their duties, the members of the supervisory board of the RPO shall be guided by the common interest of the regional public media service.
The supervisory board shall establish a rotation schedule for its members, providing that the members do not all retire simultaneously.
De raad van toezicht van de RPO houdt toezicht op het beleid van het bestuur van de RPO, de algemene gang van zaken bij de RPO en de uitvoering van de publieke mediaopdracht op regionaal niveau en staat het bestuur van de RPO met advies terzijde.
De raad van toezicht van de RPO is verder belast met:
het vaststellen van de jaarrekening van de RPO; en
het wijzigen van de statuten van de RPO, op voorstel van het bestuur van de RPO.
Bij de vervulling van hun taak richten de leden van de raad van toezicht van de RPO zich naar het gemeenschappelijke belang van de regionale publieke mediadienst.
De raad van toezicht stelt een rooster van aftreden voor zijn leden op waarin wordt voorzien dat de leden niet allen gelijktijdig aftreden.
