The European patent application or European patent may be amended in proceedings before the European Patent Office, in accordance with the Implementing Regulations. In any event, the applicant shall be given at least one opportunity to amend the application of his own volition.
The European patent application or European patent may not be amended in such a way that it contains subject-matter which extends beyond the content of the application as filed.
The European patent may not be amended in such a way as to extend the protection it confers.
De Europese octrooiaanvrage of het Europees octrooi kan worden gewijzigd tijdens een procedure voor het Europees Octrooibureau in overeenstemming met het Uitvoeringsreglement. In elk geval dient de aanvrager ten minste eenmaal in de gelegenheid te worden gesteld om de aanvrage op eigen initiatief te wijzigen.
De Europese octrooiaanvrage of het Europees octrooi kan niet zodanig gewijzigd worden dat het onderwerp niet meer gedekt wordt door de inhoud van de aanvrage zoals die is ingediend.
Het Europees octrooi kan niet zodanig worden gewijzigd dat de beschermingsomvang wordt uitgebreid.
