In this Section, the following definitions shall apply:
persons with disabilities: persons with long-term physical, mental, intellectual or sensory impairments which in interaction with various barriers may hinder their full and effective participation in society on an equal basis with others;
service: service as referred to in Article 230a;
service provider: a natural or legal person who provides a service on the Union market or offers to provide a service to consumers in the Union;
consumer: a natural person who procures an e-commerce service for purposes other than his trade, business, craft or professional activity;
commercial services: services provided at a distance, via websites and mobile device-based services, by electronic means and at the individual petition (application) of a consumer with a view to concluding an agreement;
Directive (EU) 2019/882: Directive (EU) 2019/882 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 17 April 2019 on the accessibility requirements for products and services (OJEU 2019, L 151).
In deze afdeling wordt verstaan onder:
personen met een handicap: personen met langdurige fysieke, mentale, intellectuele of zintuiglijke beperkingen die in hun interactie te kampen hebben met diverse drempels die hen kunnen beletten volledig, effectief en op voet van gelijkheid met anderen in de samenleving te participeren;
dienst: dienst als bedoeld in artikel 230a;
dienstverlener: natuurlijke of rechtspersoon die een dienst verleent op de markt van de Unie of aanbiedt consumenten in de Unie een dienst te verlenen;
consument: natuurlijke persoon die een e-handelsdienst afneemt voor andere doeleinden dan zijn handels-, bedrijfs-, ambachts- of beroepsactiviteit;
handelsdiensten: diensten die worden verleend op afstand, via websites en diensten op basis van mobiele apparaten, langs elektronische weg en op individueel verzoek van een consument met het oog op het sluiten van een overeenkomst;
richtlijn (EU) 2019/882: Richtlijn (EU) 2019/882 van het Europees Parlement en de Raad van 17 april 2019 betreffende de toegankelijkheidsvoorschriften voor producten en diensten (PbEU 2019, L 151).
