Article 1:253e

Granting of the petition of one of the parents as referred to in Articles 253b, 253c and 253d of this Book shall, if the other parent exercised authority until that time, result in the latter losing authority. This consequence shall not occur if the parents are charged with joint authority as a result of the judicial decision.
Inwilliging van het verzoek van een der ouders als bedoeld in de artikelen 253b, 253c en 253d van dit boek heeft, indien de ander het gezag tot dusverre uitoefende, tot gevolg dat de laatste het gezag verliest. Dit gevolg treedt niet in indien de ouders als gevolg van de rechterlijke beslissing met het gezamenlijk gezag zijn belast.
