The applicant may, upon effecting the Benelux filing, request that the publication of the registration be deferred for a period not exceeding twelve months, calculated from the date of filing or from the date on which the right of priority arose.
If the depositor makes use of the option provided in paragraph 1, the Office shall suspend the publication in accordance with the petition.
De deposant kan bij het verrichten van het Benelux-depot verzoeken de publicatie van de inschrijving op te schorten gedurende een periode die niet meer mag bedragen dan twaalf maanden te rekenen vanaf de datum van het depot of vanaf de datum waarop het recht van voorrang is ontstaan.
Indien de deposant gebruik maakt van de in lid 1 geboden mogelijkheid schort het Bureau de publicatie op conform het verzoek.
