The old-age pension, as well as an increase in the old-age pension, shall be granted upon application by the Social Insurance Bank (Sociale verzekeringsbank).
By way of derogation from the provisions of the preceding paragraph, the Social Insurance Bank (Sociale verzekeringsbank) is authorised to grant the old-age pension or an increase in the old-age pension ex officio.
Het ouderdomspensioen alsmede een verhoging van het ouderdomspensioen wordt op aanvraag toegekend door de Sociale verzekeringsbank.
In afwijking van het bepaalde in het vorige lid is de Sociale verzekeringsbank bevoegd het ouderdomspensioen of een verhoging van het ouderdomspensioen ambtshalve toe te kennen.
