The members' council is responsible for determining the general policy of the KNB and, to that end, shall consult with the board where necessary. Upon request or of its own motion, the board shall inform the members' council of all data that may be of importance for the general policy of the KNB, in particular data concerning matters that the board has in execution or under consideration, or which it has taken into preparation or investigation. The members' council is authorised at all times to request information from the board or to commission an investigation regarding subjects that may be of importance for the determination of the policy of the KNB. The members' council shall regularly keep the board informed of developments regarding the affairs of the KNB within the districts (ringen).
De ledenraad heeft de zorg voor de vaststelling van het algemene beleid van de KNB en treedt daartoe zonodig in overleg met het bestuur. Het bestuur stelt de ledenraad desgevraagd of eigener beweging in kennis van alle gegevens die voor het algemeen beleid van de KNB van belang kunnen zijn, in het bijzonder gegevens betreffende zaken die het bestuur in uitvoering of behandeling heeft of die het in voorbereiding of onderzoek heeft genomen. De ledenraad is bevoegd het bestuur te allen tijde inlichtingen te vragen of onderzoek op te dragen betreffende onderwerpen die voor de bepaling van het beleid der KNB van belang kunnen zijn. De ledenraad brengt het bestuur regelmatig op de hoogte van de ontwikkelingen met betrekking tot de zaken der KNB in de ringen.
